TERRAIN KIT: NATURE

Grass, dirt, sand, stone and animated water. Paths, beaches and lakes close cleanly in any shape.

A top-down terrain tileset in five Paleto palettes and three sizes. Every transition is a full 16-tile corner set, the water moves, and the Godot and Tiled files come with the terrains already set up: you paint the map with the terrain brush and the edges sort themselves out.

One payment, yours forever, every future fix included. Card and local payment methods, and the files land in your account the moment it clears.

THE LICENSE

Use it in personal and commercial projects, in as many as you want, and modify it however you like. Credit is welcome and not required.

The one thing you cannot do is resell the assets on their own as a pack or a template. Build with them, do not repackage them.

HOW IT PAINTS

tested in Godot 4

Drop the folder into your project, give a TileMapLayer the tileset of the palette and size you want, and paint with the Terrains tab. Paint a grass background two cells bigger than the map first, then each area on top, and leave two cells of grass between areas that have no edge of their own, like dirt and water.

Grass is the hub: dirt, sand, stone and water each meet grass, and water also meets sand. A lake inside a beach wants two tiles of sand around it; a lake can also sit straight on grass, which has its own shoreline.

THE COLOURS

  • Every pixel is one of the 16 colours of its palette
  • It matches anything else made in that palette
  • The palettes are free at paleto.gg/palettes
